DayJet will use a Microjet DayJet Corp. plans to offer a private jet charter flying-taxi service using a fleet of microjets. They will bring passengers service to area airports without scheduled commercial service. DayJet will use one of the first microjets on the market, the Eclipse Microjet. DayJet will fly you in and out of airports of your choice when you want to go for a price of $1 to $3 a mile. DayJet plans to start the service in Florida and six other Southeastern states by the end of 2006.

"We are not competing with scheduled airlines," said Bill Brown, DayJet's director of customer care. "We are seeking people who face a 400-mile business trip to meet a customer for three hours and find it better to fly."

DayJet's plans call for a region-by-region service rollout. Within a given region, the company
will offer "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service between specific airports, called DayPorts,(tm) which
will be announced on a market-by-market basis.
